Happy Day!

Joe and Melanie got married on Friday September 20th, 2013 at the Historic Covered Bridge near Bayview, MD. The weather was amazing, and every detail was perfect.

The skull ring was Dad's, and the diamond studded cuff links were a gift from Melanie.
Sweet story.
Amy did all the hair and make-up. She did a stunning job. So special to be together, everyone helping...the bride downstairs getting ready and the groom upstairs. The house was buzzing with excitement and joy!!
There were some happy tears, some nervous pacing...and a lot of hairspray!
the Groom was a handsome bag of nerves...the good kind :)
Melanie's niece was the flower girl and the Littles handed out the bubbles. Peter added some beautiful music.
We gathered at the bridge and took our places.

The vows...
The rings...
The kiss...it took less than 30 minutes to become...

Mr. and Mrs. Joe Krummel.

Isn't God good? Creating new beginnings.

The reception was at Shaefer's Canal House.

(Isn't Brooke adorable? Hey it's MY blog...I can brag if I wanna)

What a beautiful couple. Melanie was gorgeous!

The lino was a surprise can  you tell?

And so their story begins. Welcome to the family, Melanie. God is going to do great things.

John and Alexandra.

Once there was a boy named John.

He was cute and cuddly,

handsome, funny, athletic and so sweet. He said he would never leave home.

Then one day...he met a girl named Alexandra.

She was quiet, giving, kind, smart and really beautiful.

He loved her.

She loved him.

As they grew up, the road got bumpy. Sometimes they walked together, sometimes they walked alone.

But their love remained. Eventually, they decided to stay on the same road...together...as one.

Now they are together forever.
A very happy ending...which is really a very hopeful beginning.
God Bless You Both!!

Captured

We finally got our hands on the professional pics from Mike and Jeannie's wedding. Looking at them has been fun, re-visiting those special moments and remembering the day.

September was a blur for us...both sons getting married so close together was a whirlwind. It was a roller coaster ride of emotions and experiences...the tick, tick, tick of the upward climb...the anticipation, the nerves, the planning. And then the rush of excitement and the free fall downward...everything happening so fast.

There were so many precious, once in a lifetime moments...
now just snapshots in my memory.

I am grateful for those moments captured by the camera. I will cherish them forever.

Thanks for revisiting this day with me. And thanks to Hans for the great capture.
