Fall Family Shoots

I have been taking the opportunities that God has given me to take pictures. I am soooo new at this but I love it! I was recently asked to "shoot" the beautiful Dollenger family. Here they are. Enjoy.

That little Sofie...she's rockin the pink shoes!!
What a cutie!
Isaac is such a handsome young man!
And how about Maddie!! Couldn't you just eat her up?
Thanks Lauren and Steve, for the fun afternoon! It was a learning experience and a blessing for me!

Next we have my brother Kirk and his girls. They just moved into their new home and so we wanted to get some nice shots of that lovely abode. So happy for them!

I love my Littles.

Family is everything. Amen.

The Beauty of Fall

I really hope you guys don't get sick of me posting pictures!! I have been taking a lot of pics lately, the fall colors are impossible to resist!

My photo goal last week was to get Mike and Jeannie out for a session with Baby (Bump) Brooke **smile**sigh**
Sooo, like a good photographer I went out for a walk
to check out light, color and good spots for their pictures.

Let the fields be jubilant, and everything in them;
let all the trees of the forest sing for joy.
Psalm 96:11-13

Okay, pretty pics and all...now where are the people?

Yay! Now for some real beauty...my son and his girl(s)...aren't they sweet?

Well...goodness...I could just look at these two all day. Just wait till Brooke gets here! My heart is full already, and I'm sure being "Grammy" will cause it to overflow!!

Now...in other "news"..

The Littles were here!

Alex invited them over, along with her little sister, niece and her cousin Kelly and her adorable baby, Lexi, Jeannie and a few other friends.

We carved pumpkins, had a bonfire and ate about a ga-jillion S'mores...Lots of giggling, snorting, and squealing ensued. It was a girly bonfire. No boys allowed. As soon as Uncle Jim got the fire going
and made sure no one cut their hand off  helped with the finer points of pumpkin carving,
he hi-tailed it back to the house!

Happy Fall!!

Precious Littles

The Littles

They are not so little anymore. Still they are young, sweet, innocent,

and very precious.

What is more wonderful than being little?
Carefree days, giggles, playing at nothing, saying whatever is on your mind,
turning cartwheels until your dizzy, chasing a butterfly,

playing with puppies, climbing trees.

I love my Littles. Even though they are growing up, I pray for special times together to continue. I am always telling them to stop growing up so fast. They tell me they will always be my Littles even when I have grand-babies. I love that!

Someday the little girl things we do will change to big girl things.
But I hope we will still be close and will still enjoy time spent together.

Sleep Over at Aunt Jenn's!

The Littles were here! And they each brought a friend.

Sydney's guest was her bestie, Emily.

Now meet Molly.
She is on Allyson's soccer team and she was Ally's guest here at Aunt Jenn's for the night.

Drop off: 6:30 pm
 Pick up: 12 noon...

What do you do with 4 little girls for all that time?
Well... I had a few tricks up my sleeve...

Pretend picnics...

Tree swing...

...Spirograph!
You heard me right! Do you remember this, people? I spent endless hours trying to make the perfect spiro-design...hands down, my favorite thing to do when I was their age.

I also had lots of snacks and a great movie on hand. But the best thing we did was...
Crayon melting!

I had Syd bring all of their old broken crayons. I put the Littles to work peeling the paper and then breaking them into smaller pieces.

Next we sorted them according to color...blues, reds, greens and browns/blacks.

We used those little metal cups from votive candles for molds. I got 50 of them for $2.50 at Walmart. The wax popped out really easily and we lined them up on an old cookie sheet.

Here we are all lined up and ready to go in the oven. The oven is set on 250...allowing them to melt for about 10 minutes.

We let the molds cool for a while...half an hour...you could put them in the freezer if you are in a hurry or just generally impatient.

Next we popped them out of the molds. The crayons don't stick so if you push the bottom they loosen enough to pop out.

The girls were so tickled with the results!

Now that's cool!

The girls made me this card:

Isn't that the sweetest thing ever??
Another great time with my baby nieces and their little friends,
who, by the way, are now calling me "Aunt Jenn"!
